Pothier was to be an extension of the Citizens School, and is designed for grades pre-K to 2. TLA used the topography to create a two story design that provides pre-K and kindergarteners with a separate entrance, bus drop off and play areas; the upper level anchors the main entrance, the administration, media center, gymnasium, cafetorium, 17 classrooms, and an art and music room . The inviting, contemporary entrance is a beacon for the large two-story sky-lighted space that embraces people as they enter, providing a warm, positive and creative atmosphere to foster learning. The warm pastel colors add charm to the interior spaces.
